emarketforecasts - Belgium
Abstract
Output for the Belgian electronics industry declined by 8.9% in 2008, this following a decline of 7.9% in 2007. Production in 2009 is forecast to fall by 12.7%, primarily as the result of the sharp downturn in the first half of the year. Although there were signs of output stabilising in the later part of 2009 it is not expected that growth will return until the second half of 2010 resulting electronics output falling by a further 2.2% for the year as a whole.
