Abstract
After two years of decline, output fell by 5.5% and 3.6% in 2007 and 2006 respetively, electronics production increased by 4.4% in 2008 led by higher output in the consumer video segment. Growth was flat in 2009 but should increase by over 10% in 2010 with growth across all sectors of the industry and notably video equipment. With the economy relatively strong through the global downturn the electronics market increased by a forcasted 3.4% in 2009, this after two years of strong double-digit growth. The market is forecast to accelerate in 2010 with growth of 10.8% and remain strong throughout the forecast period, growth led by the computer and wireless communication segmnents.
